155 candidates nominated for parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, 71 approved

"155 individuals have applied for parliamentary candidacy," CEC Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan Mazahir Panahov said at today's Commission meeting, “Yeni Sabah” reports.

Mazahir Panahov stated that although 156 people put forward their candidacies, one later withdrew. Out of the 155 candidates, 71 have been confirmed, and signature sheets have been issued to 43 of them.
