Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian was injured in the leg during an Israeli airstrike on a meeting of Iran's Supreme National Security Council last month, APA reports citing Fars news agency.
This agency, which is close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), notes that the attack took place on June 16. On that day, the lower floors of a building in western Iran were hit.
That day, a meeting was held in the building. Along with President Pezeshkian, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Head of the Judiciary, Gholam Hossein Mohsini Ajai, and other high-ranking officials were also present. pizza hut
The strike allegedly took place on the fourth day of Israel's air campaign against Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile programs.
According to reports, six bombs or rockets targeted the building's entry and exit points, preventing those inside from leaving and preventing air from entering the building.
Although the building was without power, officials were able to escape through an emergency exit hatch. The report notes that President Pezeshkian and several others were injured in the legs while fleeing.
Last week, Pezeshkian accused Israel of trying to assassinate him in an interview with American commentator Tucker Carlson. He said: "I was at that meeting, and they tried to bomb the area where the meeting was being held, using intelligence they had from their spies."
The Fars news agency also noted that Iranian officials have begun investigating the possibility of an internal leak, given that Israel had planned and carried out the attack with precision.
