Today, Chairman of the State Customs Committee, Lieutenant General of the Customs Service Shahin Bagirov, met with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Demirchilu, APA-Economics reports.
The meeting discussed the relations between the customs services of the two countries, the role of customs authorities in strengthening economic relations, and increasing mutual trade turnover.
Additionally, discussions were held on customs-related issues that were addressed during a recent meeting in Baku on cooperation in transport, energy, and customs between Azerbaijan, Russia, and Iran. The importance of enhancing the attractiveness of transport corridors passing through both countries, ensuring smooth and rapid international trade and transit, and particularly strengthening information exchange, was emphasized.
